I’ll be posting hush hush for Snow White tomorrow. Need sleep and have a few tasks in the morning first though.

Since it is halfway through the month of September, I was wondering what you like and dislike so far about this challenge. We, the mods, try to make fun and easy challenges and we know this one is a bit more team oriented and harder than our previous ones. I'm just wondering this now since our October Villains one will be work just like this one. We've already thought of some changes that might make next month a bit easier on you all but I would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
You can either reply on your team's chat thread or PM me personally. Other than that, I hope that you all are enjoying this challenge and your books!
I am enjoying this challenge to be honest. It is having me read books I would have never thought to read and giving me motivation to do so. I do however wish we had more than 3 characters at once though. Once we have 4 slots filled it can be a waiting game. Also everyone reads at different paces so giving a few more options allowd those who are quicker readers to contribute to an active character vs a banked book while those who are busier arent rushed to finish theirs to end the category.

A lot less people per team. Too many people to try and formulate a cohesive plan with. Smaller groups (around 4-5 people max) seem to dp better for challenges this specific. So many people who join after teams are formed just get a new one so numbers don't get too high?
Also a bit more planning time maybe. Get our characters a few days sooner so we can communicate as a team before it starts and not rush-pull it together.

Hello Jamie! We have already decided on smaller teams for next month's challenge, about 5-6 people per team. We are also thinking of maybe adding a replacement team member sign up after teams are formed - depending on how many people get on that, they can either be formed into their own team or be added when people don't show up or drop out expectantly.
As for characters, we can definitely give them out a few days before the challenge starts. Since the October challenge will be starting on a Monday, I can give the characters out on either the Thursday or Friday beforehand. That way everyone has the weekend to plan.

Hahaha sorry! I guess I'm just that good of a mod?? It feels weird not being able to do mod stuff this month - work is killing me!! I'm constantly busy, so I can't wait for next month where I can go back to doing more mod stuff.

We all need a month off. That will be me in December with work. I barely have time to read or even watch tv let alone anything extra. I am sorry work is breaking you down so hard though. Hope you are able to find some downtime to just relax. And yes you are an awesome mod!!

Ooo December, I can't wait for that glorious month. So many holidays and birthdays. As for relaxing? Yeah, I'm doing that right now, since it's my last free Saturday until October. I'm just reading all that I can while I'm sipping on coffee, water.. and eventually wine.
I am hoping to get through the Hobbit by tomorrow. It is not my style book and am having a hard time getting into it :(

For me December is ruined. I haven't had Christmas off in six years and each time I work is a 12+ hr shift so no celebrating. Same with thanksgiving. From Turkey day to New Years I work 75+ hours a week. I do get New Years off but by then I just want sleep.

Yikes! Yeah, I'm the opposite. No work on Thanksgiving.. and no work around Christmas. My birthday is two days before it, so I take off my birthday, christmas eve, and christmas.

Looks like Aladdin for undercover or Elsa for Princess might be best since The other 2 options could be covered by other banked books

That's okay. I am doing well with my manga this month but Mirage was the first book I read that I started and finished this month. I really need to focus on some of my books instead of manga. 🤔

It's hard. But this is also one of the few months in YA where manga count so I'm leaning towards manga a lot. I can read 'book's in October when manga don't count. 😕

Same here. Although it's been allowed more lately which I like. :) I didn't realize she would allow manga as part of our counts for serious/medium requirements though so I set up BRs for books too. Although a couple I might drop to read more manga. My mood seems more geared toward them but it will depend on next month's challenge I guess.
So i noticed that we have a book banked that would give us our 4 finished in belle (flower on the cover) should we maybe move that one over and bank the one that isnt completed yet so we can get our new character card?

Anna, if you post Secrets of a Summer Night - Lisa Kleypas we can be done with Bambi. I had to pull mine. My BR partner backed out as I only got the first chapter done. Was hoping she'd join late but guess not. So change of plans to books I wanted to read more of in the first place :)

Not unless it can be used for hunting, shifter or shy character. Erica finished Aladdin so we should get a new category soon though.
