Is there anything similar to The Expanse?

I love to watch The Expanse but found the books after and just could not read because I already new what happened. I was wondering if there is anything similar to The Expanse to read. I currently am reading Brad Thor and Mark Kloos. I also got Gunpowder Moon. I looked at John Scalzi and Jack Campbell. The JAG in space series looked interesting but reviews weren’t great. Seemed like book one was just a judicial one and not a space opera.

I'd recommend continuing the book series since some of the plot points don't playout exactly like the show and some characters feel different. There are also 6 more books out that span decades of the characters lives.
If you haven't read the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, that one is pretty good and many things are based on the premise he wrote about.

Check out Iain M. Banks' Culture series. It's similar to the Expanse with its immersion into a realized universe deep into the future.
