Personality: Matsuri is a very cheerful, intelligent and brave girl. She absolutely loves honesty and would put her life on the line to save her team mates. She's rarely ever seen without a smile on her face, except when she's alone of course. Matsuri would rather focus on healing and feeding others instead of fighting, yet her sword skill is really high and experienced. She can be stubborn if she's really against something and doesnt give up in a fight. Personality: Robin is incredibly kind to almost everyone. He helps people in need, saves those who take on monsters more powerful than them, and generally acts like everyone's hero. However, Robin only does this to take away from the fact that he hates himself. He hates every selfish thing he's done in life.

History: Robin moved away from his family in America to buy a house in Japan and study there, but he doesn't fit in, and he's barely making ends meet, as his part time job doesn't allow for much luxury. So he got into a different game. Robin started stealing, pickpocketing, almost. He swiped precious mementos and pawned them off for cash, destroying people's memories and their precious reminders. He went into the game for an escape.

Personality:
Akahana is quiet and reserved in real life, so she lets loose in SAO. She's commanding and strong, and she never backs down from a fight. Her willingness to fight gets her into trouble, but she doesn't lose her cool.

History: Akahana was the second daughter of a rich family, and was ignored a lot as a child. She attended her lessons and did as she was told until she stared playing games. In games she could be bold and brave, unlike in the real world. She received SAO as a gift from her uncle, an employee of the company that created NervGear.

He doesn't like people into his personal life, he prefers to keep people at an arms length at all times, he has a complete control on his emotions but has a really bad temper and sudden flashes of anger or frustration may get through. When he's not level grinding he often spends his days taking walks or sleeping or training or treasure hunting. He's not one to be called a loner but he's definitely not Mr. popular either. He outgoing at times and will talk to a complete stranger as if he's known them for years, that includes enemies too.

History:
Tobias is a really hardcore gamer, he's logged most of his life into video games and used the name "Hanz" for them all and got rather famous on the net for it. He didn't win the chance to be a beta tester but his best friend did and they took turns for while, they both created a decent well rounded character and made it to the 10th floor solo and was on the way to the 11th boss, but the beta ended before they could. He and his friend did get the game on launch but he decided to long into it early and get some more practice in on it before his friends did.

Ace is very dissdanful. HE gets bored easily and is often seen sleeping.
However while on a job He'd complete his job with deadly accuracy.
He acts tough and harsh in front of people. Alone, secretly, he feels tired. he wants to make his life memorable so he chose to join SAO.

History:
His childhood was a blur. His parents hated each other and shouted a lot. Ace was tossed into the arguments. FInally, at the age of 10, his parents seperated. He was asked a question: who would you like o go with?! He couldn't possibly choose. So his older sister decided for them. She'd go with their mptehr and he'd stay with their father. However after a while his dad started drinking. and no matter how many times he asked he wasn't allowed to see his mum and sister. They moved overseas. As soon as he turned 15 he won himself the right to live by himself. His school life was also a blur and he couldn't make friends. He has no flags in his life to make anything memorable enough. As soon as SAO's beta test was announced, he conntacted his dad (who worked in that indestry) his dad didn't get him into the beta test but he bought him a copy of the game.

She's a very hyperactive person and hardly ever sits down, doesn't ever seem to run out of energy. She likes to make friends and enemies to help challenge herself to do better and get better. She's very stubborn and doesn't like listening to others and will always choose her opinion over others even if others think it's morally wrong.

History:
Her history with games go a bit of a way back, but its not too heavy as in she's not the most hardcore of gamers. She only plays games that interest her, and she was told about SAO by her friend that wanted to play it and get her to play it too, and it worked. Samantha is usually brave, and honest, and that's how she is in SAO. She doesn't steal, which is often rare in players, but she stubborn none the less, and she's quick to judge. When she falls in love it hurts, because she wants to keep them safe, but in her pasted that is never the case.

History:
When Sam was 16 her house caught on fire, her brother saved her, but her parents died. Zakiro, her brother was 18, so they got to stay together. After the fire he had to work a lot, which let Sam be alone all the time, leading her to play video games, there were times were she wouldn't see her brother for weeks at a time. She felt as if though he abandoned her and that he didn't care what happens, even though this is not the case. He ironically has a job at the hospital were his sister will stay after SAO launches. He get's sort of a family discounts.

History:
Lunia’s parents separated when she was 14, forcing her to choose between them. She went with her mother, and her brother went with her father. Her mother became frail and sick and was constantly asking about her son, but no matter how hard Lunia tried to contact her father, he wouldn’t answer. Lunia began taking care of the house, and when she was 16 her mother found another man and became healthier. She remarried shortly after Lunia turned 17. When Lunia turned 18, she was accepted into a prestigious school where she studied neurology for a year before changing paths and studying to become a neo-natal surgeon. (A baby doctor) Still interested in neurology, Lunia grew interested in full-dive technology and eventually bought a Nervgear and a copy of SAO.

PERSONALITY:
Kai is considered to be a charming, happy-go-lucky SAO resident and it's safe to say that he acts carefree about 99% of the time. He makes friends easily and often uses his obnoxious and bold ways in order to befriend them. Though he does become serious in certain brawls, Kai is notorious for his loose personality and teasing ways.

History:
Kaito lives a normal life being the only child to a couple of restaurant owners. Whenever he isn't at school, he could be seen hanging out with his friends at the restaurant during his freetime when he isn't cleaning off table-tops. He's a slacker in real and had decided to try the game out one afternoon in order to avoid schoolwork. Yeah, yeah. Boring way of entering into SAO, but that's Kai for ya.

PERSONALITY:
Akari is known to be very level-headed and mature for her age. Having been on her own a lot in the world of SAO, she has become very independent and hardly relies on others. People see her to be very indifferent and stubborn, but she sees herself to be strong-willed and determined. Akari also has a lighter side to her when it comes to animals, children, or the elderly, and she tends to joke around with her friends a lot. So basically, she's a kind-hearted gal who plays off as a strong swordsman on SAO.

History:
Anami is the youngest out of two children in the Yashido house-hold. Being a straight A student who is involved in everything social within her small town, she is known almost by everyone. Her older brother, Hiro, had gotten the game from a friend. After his departure for university, she had decided to try it out for herself.

Personality: She is somewhat a geek and a computer genuis, so she began doing good right from the start. At first she was shy but then begins to warm up more because she is kuudere. Reika is very self-concious about her appearance, but doesn't let it show. She was always the teacher's pet and never popular among any one, so she gets lonely often. Her self-esteem is kind of low, and so she rarely socializes with people unless it's before she looked like her normal self again. Some people find her pretty, but she doesn't notice it and would rather sketch quietly then talk to people. She is really good at with a one-handed sword and prefers not to use a shield, because it is extra bulk and many tecniques she uses require lots of speed and agility. She is not easily hit, but when she is occansionally hit, she can be slow to recover. Reika never rushes into a battle she can't win, and uses her smarts to study her opponents before completely attacking.

History: Reika is the oldest of nine children, and one of her siblings also was playing sword art online. Her family is huge and her parents are usually working, so Reika has to babysit. She left the job to her oldest sister, and Reika and her brother played SAO, until Lily (her sister) realized what had happened.

Personality: Tamako is the naive motherly type of girl who worries about others and wants to protect them as much as she can but is usually the one who has to be protected. She doesn't understand that someone could want to do anything evil to someone else and so it took her a while to accept the fact that one man would want to cause the potential deaths of thousands of people. When she finally does accept that certain people are evil she is harsh with them and unable to forgive them.

History: Tamako grew up as, ironically, a very sheltered little girl. Her father was the leader of a gang of yakuza and she grew up in the midst of them all. Since her father was respected and there was little unrest within his men she was cherished among them and took care of them when they got hurt so she got used to seeing men beaten and bloody. Because of them though, she never got to know how harsh the world could really be. She heard about SAO at school and thought it might be fun to try it out since she had always heard how fun MMOs could be.
