SOLVED. End of the World? Speculative/Christian. [s]

This book I'm looking for is a Christian fiction. Probably speculative? It centered on a group of people stranded. The world is barren, empty. Some members think it was the Rapture, some (I think) thought it may be a science experiment gone wrong. Either way they think they are the only surviving humans on earth, if they were even on earth.
I only remember that much of it. I never had the chance to finish the book. Any ideas on what it may be?

Cover was dreary...maybe a road...and a bicycle on it?
