Just start not too long ago and so far so good. Hopefully can finished the book Carrie by tomorrow, but with homework and everything not sure that will happen.

I'm about half way through SkyFall and then we'll see what I pick up next!

If you look up the book on Goodreads it should give you a page count for the book, & your kindle gives you the percentage. So for example, if the book is 100 pages and you've read 65%, you've read 65 pages. Does that make sense?
Finished reading Carrie. I thought it was a good book. I liked how Stephen King would build up the suspense without going into a lot of details, especially with the gory parts. Carrie is a character that you can almost fell sorry for and her actions, although probably not the best, are justified.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I keep debating reading more by Stephen King but am a big chicken....

From what I understand he also writes some non-horror books as well you could maybe try theses ones.

I just finished Sweet on You by Laura Drake. It was fantastic. A clash of the worlds between PBR & the Army.

I say this all the time but people don't believe me. Carrie will be one of those books that in the future will be considered an American classic, up there with Tom Sawyer and Catcher in the Rye. There will be leather-bound editions that people will spend too much for and never touch. I'm telling you, it's going to happen :-D

If I were a high school English/literature teacher I would have my students reading Carrie I think it would resonate with a lot of students theses day what with the problem with bullying and what not. Plus it what be fun to have the students compare and contract the different characters in books like Carrie, Tom Sawyer, and The Catcher In The Rye.

Carrie, Tom and Holden are purely American. They couldn't exist in other countries' literatures. And because each is the star of a good story, they stick in your mind forever.
This was a lot of fun and I did manage to get some books read in process, even with having to write papers for classes this week:)
