Do you have a scene that defines each book in the series?

I hate those moments, too.

My new favorite is the scene in Obsession when Lottie was in the Bullpen. That whole scene from beginning to end, when Eve hugs Peabody I'm usually in tears. Best scene in any book, and shows just how much they all mean to each other. They're a family, and - OOOH!! I just flashed on Treachery when they all Saluted Eve at the end....I love these books.

The "fear of Roarke" Dynamite!

I love revisiting these moments. Good ones!

Where the FBI messes up:
“Feeney erupted. It was a vicious, feral, and inventive tirade that was peculiarly Irish in tone. It was that brilliant and blue rant Eve heard as she walked back up the stairs, down the hall, and into the room.
And she knew they were screwed.”
And when she and the FBI idiot have a showdown after which she clocks him good and solid:
“Perhaps it was embarrassment, or perhaps he was simply a moron. But he lunged at her. She didn’t think; she didn’t hesitate. With a half-pivot, she shot her elbow up, caught him just under the chin. She heard his teeth snap together an instant before he went down.”
Oh WOW....

Remember that well, including her bringing that agent down to size.

The other stand out for me is the fight at the end and Roarke's care for her after and Galahad. It was so intense and then lovely.
