Hello my fellow astronauts and interstellar knights.

I'll be releasing At Eternity's Gate in a month or so under the model of "pay what you want". It's a surreal science fiction novel for adults, even though it's narrated by a nine year old girl. At the moment I've put the first three chapters up for download, for free, on my website: http://singularityplaytime.com/books/

If you'd like the whole book before it comes out to review it you can visit my contact page on the site and ask for it. I'd probably send it to you anyway, as long as you're nice and want to strike up some intelligent conversation.

I was nine years old when the mouth of god opened up and took the night sky I loved away one star at a time. My name is Avery Lucille White, but all my friends call me Robot, and even though I’m just a kid I’m going to tell you the story all fiction stems from. The mouth was an invisible force that poked its mysterious head from beyond the edge of our universe and began a great chomp to swallow us whole. Seven, my best friend and new dad, was an astronomer and he took me on a journey to discover the source of the mouth and stop it from turning our existence into the biggest snack ever known. But the world had become a sad place. Instead of being full of flowers and candy it became littered with body parts and death-day parties. Impossible beings sent from the mouth of god tore through every home, every toy box and every human skull they could find in their search for a great unknown. While Seven looked for the cause of the calamity I searched for the holy treasure locked away on our tiny blue home. The infinite force that linked me to Seven, and every possible reality. I’m talking about the power to put the stars back in place, and I’m going to use it to show you what’s hidden in the ground beneath your feet, the sky above your head and the blood inside your heart. Don’t be scared. This is my hand. If you take it we’ll stand at eternity’s gate and walk through together.
