I think I remember this one. Is it Who's Been Sleeping in My Grave, by R.L. Stine? It was one of the Fear Street spin off series, Ghosts of Fear Street.

I read a book about twelve years [prior to 2015] ago, give or take a couple years.
All I can remember from the book is there was a boy in one of the younger grades, he had a witch for a teacher. One Halloween while he was safe at home the witch showed up and convinced his mother they were having a Halloween party at the school and wanted him to be there.
After leaving his house (even though he threw a fit and said he didn't want to go) she took him to the cemetery and brought him to her grave. The grave started to suck them in like a black hole, he fought to get out but didn't have the strength.
His hand was grabbed from above and he was being pulled out by someone in a Halloween costume. He made it out and they watched the witch being forced back into her grave. When she was gone he looked over and it was his friend, he apologized for not believing him when he first told him. They then both left the graveyard.

(view spoiler)[So all I remember is that the main character is a boy, and he and his friend get a new teacher for their class. The teacher is a witch and the main character knows it but his friend won't believe him. There's one part where the witch shows up to his house and tells the mother on Halloween that there's a party at the school and she wants the boy to come. She takes the boy and brings him to the cemetery where she drops him into her grave with her. They are lowered down and the boys friend shows up and pulls him out while the witch is lowered down. It was a thriller/fantasy book I think but idk it's been too long. I read this during 4-5th grade I think that would've been around 2005/2006 I knew the book had been out a while before then though.
