Is the Publisher's name " Zadar : Forum"? Or "Forum", from the Zadar region? My research seems to indicate it is "Forum", or Forum d.o.o.o. :-)

GR doesn't include the city of the publisher.

By hard copy I think you mean a book with a hard cover, right?

The cover image is obtainable from Amazon (but I could not find it there) or from the publisher's site. I couldn't find Forum's site. Do you know it?

But I found Kaknus Publishing's site, so if you have the original title I could find some more info.

Don't you have at least a small description? Like "Superman and Spiderman go to Croatia", or something like that? :-)

I used the turkish edition description and used Google translator to translate it into Croatian. Result:

So, the publisher is Forum d.o.o. http://www.forum-zadar.hr/jakov.php, but there is no cover for this specific book. And they are from Zadar (city).
Hard cover is what I thought.
I have no idea of the original title but in some translations the main character is Pietro (Jakov in Croatian, and obviously Atakan in Turkish).
You did the homework that is for sure, but the translation is not acceptable because it is about the whole serie about the boy called Atakan, or Jakov. I guess that Google is ok for translations to and from English, but other combinations should make you skeptical:-)
I'll try to find some description that is already published and translate it in English.

You can just write a small descrition in Croatian. Actually, for a Croatian language book, the description should be in Croatian.

More likely, you'll get attention faster, because all GR volunteer librarians will read it there.

Please research in advance, and when you ask, send all the data available, as in message # 48 on the previous page in this thread (titel, ISBN, publisher, etc.)

There's another possibility for the cover image.

You can scan your own book. Or even take a picture of it, but this usually results in a poor image, not recommended unless you're a good photographer.

If you produce an image like this, you can then send it to me and I'll publish it there.

The party idea is great. it was suggested sometime ago, I don't remember exactly, may have been around 5K. But we didn't come out with a workable format.

Really, if I were deciding, I'd simply want to know what they volunteered; I'd consider how professional they seem, how clear they make the terms, what's in it for them, what exactly they need from you....

Hi, I really love the earlier and faster nomination and voting process!

I noticed something in other groups that I think would be perfect (and easy) for this group. In the nomination updates, and on the poll ballot, they list the number of pages in each book. This way people are less likely to vote on a book that is longer than they really care to read.

Some groups have 3 month reads for long books, but that's a much bigger decision.

The group setting is to have it pop up with every comment. It was not something Marcos or I changed but something already in place. I did add to the rules at one point. We can change it.

Great suggestion! Marcos and I discussed and agree this an easy and good change we can make. We intend to implement it next round. I think you may have mentioned this previously, so I apologize for not responding sooner.

I changed the settings to where the rules pop up on first time post and not every time. I also added the rules to the announcement thread. Let me know if you have any more issues.

The number of pages can be informed by the nominator of the book.

But if they don't, we can insert the number in the tracking, anyway - easy task.

We are now at 10,007 members... just this morning it was 9,991... so I quess it's party time;-)

Numbers shift quickly! After I mentioned 1,991 they dropped to 1, 988. It seems people come and go everyday. And now it has dropped to 10,006!

Then I kept an eye on that page for more than half of the day, but then had to meet family and lost the magical moment!
