Ela | 4291 comments Finished Love Letter to Whiskey and sadly it just pissed me the fuck off! 2 stars for their dumb ass decisions and by the end they still felt like high schoolers!

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Ela, I loved that book.

I read Paula’s too. That was really good too. Not 10 stars but maybe 4. Maybe a little more than 4.

I'm glad you did! I hate reading books I end up no liking, it seems like a total waste of time.

Started In Another Life...so far I'm just very confused and kind of bored...this sucks! Am I in a slump? Are only new shinies interesting or old PNR's?

That's quite alright! It was on my PFM! I think I need to weed out my TBR list.

I don't know that you'll like Maybe In Another Life - - it has some slow parts for sure...I liked it but I do remember having to push through some parts to get there - - I also read it several years ago...

I'm actually not feeling it either...I think it's time to go back to PNR.

JudyCa | 1709 comments And... I'm not quite feeling the love for Alessio and Ayla...The Mafia And His Angel: Part 1

Jan (jan130) Michele wrote: "I’m loving Seven Years too!!! Thanks Jan!!"

Yay Michele! You'll probably like the whole series then. I really enjoyed it. Will reread the series one day. I need to start your pick for me!

Jan (jan130) Michele wrote: "I finished Seven Years a day or so ago. I really liked it - would say 4.5 stars. I'll definitely be continuing with the series! Thanks for the rec Jan!!"

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Ela, do you know another book like Arsen.

That was my kind of book
. I loved it. What do you recommend.

I haven't read it yet either but I just got it on KU!

message 116: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments I really loved it. But it has cheating in it and some people don’t like that Judy. But I 5* it.

message 117: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Melinda, what is it that you loved about Arsen? Are you looking for other "cheating" books, love triangle, etc?

Ela | 4291 comments Melinda wrote: "Ela, do you know another book like Arsen.

Hells Yeah! but nothing beats Arsen...Just FYI! Sex Love Repeat by Torre, 53 Letters to my Lover by Attar, VIP by M. Robinson, Underestimated by Woodruf, Love Square, and True Love Story by Willow Aster.

OH and The Cityscape Series Complete Trilogy by Jessica Hawkins

YOU MUST read Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

I don't mind it for the most part, it's not something that will deter me from reading a book...

message 120: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
Was it Bait by M. Mabie that was another really good one??

message 121: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Leslie, it’s the angst, knowing that she did the wrong thing, made the wrong decision. The twisty tummy thing. The conflict, the hiding, wanting to take her down that’s what a good book is all about. Making you feel compassion. Anger, love, hate, sympathy. It has everything a good book has to have. In my opinion. Others may think differently.

Ela, I think I have nearly read all of those. There maybe one I haven’t. But I’ve got to go work so i’ii catch ya later.

message 122: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Melinda, I know what you mean. When a book can make you feel all those things it is amazing. I looked at your shelves and there weren't too many of the love triangle/cheating ones you havent read. What about The Opportunist?

message 123: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments If Melinda hasn't read The Opportunist, it MUST be her next read!

message 124: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments I’ve read that one

message 125: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
*nods* pretzel tummy...

message 126: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) I finished Crow and and loved it! I gave it 4-1/2 stars, mainly because of editing issues and a little bit of 'too easily resolved' for certain things. But it was majorly entertaining and sexy, and I'm for sure going to continue with the series. I just need to decide if I'm going to continue now or move to one of the other books I'm dying to read.

Thanks for helping me get a great book that I've been wanting to read for years off my tbr, Paula!

Leslie | 2430 comments Melinda wrote: "I’ve read that one"

Oh crap! I didnt think I saw that one on your list. Well, check out Maryse's, she had a lot on there.

message 128: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Finished Method 15/33. 4.5 stars for me. Thanks so much for picking that for me, Ela Belle!!! That was so good and disturbing!!!

message 129: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Lisa! Where have you been????

message 130: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 14 comments Melinda, have you read Lover by Marni Mann and Gia Riley? Or Storm by Carian Cole? Love, In English by Karina Halle. Those are a few that come to mind. They’re a bit lighter than Arsen though but still have the cheating element to them and the forbidden feels to go with it.

message 131: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Thankyou Ashley, I have read “love in English”. But not the others. I will have a look at them.
So nice of you. I will check them out.

message 132: by JudyCa (new)

JudyCa | 1709 comments Well, my Mafia book just isn't cutting it... I'm putting it on pause, for now...maybe go back to it later...

Yep, I suck. I haven't read any of my challenge books. I'm sorry. Summer has been so busy. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to going back to work, because it will be the resumption of my normal routine? Gah, I can't believe I just wished my summer vacation to be over. I mean, I did work 90% of it anyway, but still...
