The book was a collection of short stories. They were all creepy, scary, or unnerving- some more so than others. I remember three of these.
1. One story was told from the vantage point of a fly on the wall. I believe two people were having an argument. I am almost sure the fly is trapped or killed at the end.
2. A family is haunted(maybe?) in their new home. A stand-out scene is that they sit down to dinner and the mother/father pulls out a ladle of stew or soup or chili and in the pot there is a blonde braid of human hair. The family throws the entire pot away and the narrator mentions what the garbage men will think of finding such a pot in the trash. I believe the family abandons their home at the end.
3. A shy librarian (I think) buys a home appliance and it begins to turn all of her other home appliances against her. She is held hostage in her own home by the fridge or some other appliance, I believe. It may very well be an evil toaster. I believe she may retaliate by doing something with the electricity.
Can someone please help with the title, or perhaps add some more details? Myself and a Redditor remember this book but I have found nothing on Google and it's really eating at me.
