I don’t think it’s possible for that one to disappoint."
I agree, I thought The Way of Kings was a great book. I haven't listened to Oathbringer yet because I need to look up the Cosmere reading order first. I've done Edgedancer though.
That’s a different kind of disappointment. There’s going to be other books along the way as well. Sanderson told me last week (which may be common knowledge) that there will more Mistborn with a 1980s-tech setting.

My priorities have changed a bit - I'll be moving next month so I want to get through my stack of books that will go to the charity shop once read! There's quite a few, pretty sure I'm not going to manage them all but I can at least make a dent.

Where are you moving to Rinn?
I'm staying in the same city (Bath), just moving from a studio to a 1 bed (with actual heating!!). Brand new build, I'm so excited to escape the mould and damp :)

Thanks for the tip! However I am using this as an excuse to get through the books that have been sat around for years and I always intended to redonate them...

Fair enough. :) I always have second thoughts when I try to get rid of a book, like "Well it was only a 2 star, but my wife might want to read it, and look how nice the spine is. What will fill that gap on my shelf?" I am a weak, weak willed man.

When I die my kids will have a field day getting rid of all my books.
But just let them try before that day - aarrggh!

I just finished this as well. I was also rather surprised how much I liked it. :)

I used to be really bad, but now having moved multiple times I've just accepted it has to be done. :(

That's what did it for me too, and my wife helped to, with asking me the age old question, "Are you really going to re-read that?" So, I try really hard to think about whether I will get to again knowing full well that I have to sacrifice a new read to be able to do it. So far i have been able to keep my number of books down fairly low. I'm also planning on buying a house in the next few years and packing up books sucks

Strange that I've also recently started listening to this. 1 in 113 chance of me picking the same book.

It's definitely open ended, although that does of course mean books will keep being added each month...

And I read other books in between.
I am still on The Way of Kings that I find very good.

I’m so excited Brown is continuing the story on with a new trilogy.
Excited to hear your thoughts on the 4th book!

The first trilogy was great, yeah! I'm looking forward to grabbing book four and diving in - just as soon as I dig my way out of this pile of books *waves patent pending book-shovel*

Is that the technical name for that Scott? I like that...lol

I just finished Parasite and there doesn't appear to have ever been a discussion thread for it so I'll just say here, I really enjoyed it. I will be continuing the series for sure.

I read that one too and thought it was great.

Is that something that is outside the US only? My granddaughter is legally blind - always looking for ways for her to enjoy all the great stories out there.
I’m pretty sure there is a US equivalent. But audiobooks have become popular with the general public, so there are more of them now.
