Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments She drives in the snow and crashes on a bridges hitting a naked man. It turns out he has no memory. She takes him home, and while teaching him everything she falls in love. She lives together with her father who is a painter. Can somebody please help me find the title and writer?

Mir | 802 comments Do you recall if this were labeled as a romance or a mystery? How long ago did you read it?

message 3: by Lee Anne (new)

Lee Anne (ladyofrohan2995) | 181 comments This sounds a bit like The Wrong Reflection. I don't remember her father, but this book at least has a similar start.

message 4: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments It's more like a thriller, fantasy, scifi. I read it December last, but it wasn't a new book.
The boy/man is totally blank and learns very fast. Her father used to be a painter but lost his interest, or has a burn out/"paintersblock", and thanks to the boy he starts painting again.
Thanks for your replies!

message 5: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments Lee Anne: thanks, but it's not the book I try to find.

Claire Berslow | 108 comments I remember reading a really good thriller a while back, but it was YA fiction, and the cover had a silhouette with footprints in the snow, and it was called "Frozen Fire" by Tim Bowler.

Here's the link for Claire's suggestion: Frozen Fire by Tim Bowler.

A guess - "In the Flesh" by Julia Barrett? http://www.amazon.com/Flesh-The-Soul-...

message 9: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments Kris, thanks, it's almost exactly like In the Flesh, but I think it isn't the book I mean.
Her father really plays a big part, and the boy doesn't fall from the sky. But the hit, the snow, the ex .. its all similar. I don't think she is a doctor, and his name isn't Wolf. She names him a very normal name, like Mark (as far as I remember).
It is really a thriller, and I don't want to spoil anything, but you think the boy is creepy .. :-)

message 10: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments I also read in the reviews that the readers hope their love-story continues in the sequel, but that is in this book impossible.

Fiona, do you remember what the heroine does for a living?
Does she live in a big city or...?
Sounds like the story is written for adults, not YA?

Fiona--don't worry about spoilers. This group almost requires them, since those are often what causes someone's mind to click and say, "I know that book. It's XXX."

If you are still worried about spoilers, you can put them in and have them hidden. (view spoiler)

message 13: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments Kris and Ann: thanks.
The heroine lives outside a small village, she must always drive over a dangerous bridge, where the accident happens. I don't remember what she does for a living.

I remember about the boy/man (I think they are in their late 20ies) that he also can't speak, but when she starts talking to him he picks it up amazingly fast.
He's totally blank, no amnesia, but like a newborn.

You need to remove * to get it to work Fiona. Gah, can't believe I forgot to put that into my directions. I always remember to put in the part about removing the *. Sorry.

Good spoiler! :) And by that, I mean it sounds like an interesting story.

message 24: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cherylllr) Here's a free 'bump' for fall. Come back in a few months to bump again, ok? Otherwise, as we do housekeeping on threads, we might conclude that this thread has been 'abandoned' and move it to the Abandoned folder.

message 25: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments I'm sorry, English is not my first language. What is a free bump for fall? Bump again in a few months?
What am I supposed to do?
Thanks in advance, kind regards,
Fiona

Cheryl means she is pushing your request to the top of the queue. You don't have to do anything now since she just "bumped" the thread. Yes, you should "bump" the thread (make a comment which pushes it to the top of the queue) in a few months.

message 27: by CLM (new)

CLM | 311 comments I have a vague recollection of The Colours of Snow. Does it sound familiar?

message 28: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments Cheryl and Lobstergirl: thanks, I get it! :-)
CLM: Some things are really familiar, but it still isn't the book I'm trying to find. Thanks anyway!!

message 29: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments Izabelle Jardin - the snow angel: I think this is it. But there is another mystery: I do not read or speak German??!!
And I can't find any translations (of the book) ..

Kris | 54881 comments Mod
What clues make you think Snow Angel: Roman is your book? The cover art?

message 31: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Zabrowski | 15 comments No, the story line. But I guess it's not the book. On the cover there's a bridge with snow a car and a boy/man.
