Hi all - I was hoping someone might be able to help me remember the name of a young adult/horror book I read in the early to mid '90s (I remember watching the movie Sister Act while reading it). It was very much like an R.L. Stine book - teen love that goes horribly wrong when the seemingly loving boyfriend turns murderous - and I remember the cover had on it a drawing of a girl who had in her hands a large, open, heart-shaped box of chocolates, and the chocolates were swimming in blood. The style of the cover was also very similar to R.L. Stine's style, but the author was not well known (so, not Christopher Pike). Does anyone have any idea which book this might be? I'd love to grab a copy and read it again as an adult. Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like a Point Horror book (I read many in the 90's as a girl) but not one that I am familiar with. Maybe google point horror covers and see if one looks familiar?

I did try to look up Point Horror books, but none were it. :/ I remember it being like a drug store version of a horror book. Actually, if I remember correctly, I think I got it at Walmart - like someone was trying to hop on the R.L. Stine gravy train.
