Folklore nonfiction, about fairys and similar mythical things. Short with false pages at the end, containing fairy dust (purple glitter in a small tube with a cork), flower pettles (in a purple cinch bag), and maybe something else that I can't remember. Specific thing I remember is a ritual to summon a fairy in it.
I'm almost certain it used an old spelling of Fairy, like "Faerie" or something similar.
Talked about trees with faces. They had a name that I don't remember.
Had a part about mermaids, don't remember what about them.
Got it for Christmas about 10 years ago. Not sure what country it was published, but I got it in the USA, and the book was in English.
