Same. She did grow in this one I noticed. At the beginning she was hanging out with her girl friends. And at the end, even thought she was blaming herself, she acknowledged to herself that she wasn't going to be like she was before. She just needed a bit of space for awhile.

So like I know I am super behind now but I went on vacation and didn't read at all. Am now about half way through this book and going to work hard so I can catch up to the current book ya'll are reading. However school just started for me as well so it may not happen. Either way I'm still gonna read my way through this series.

I am really enjoying this book so far but can't help but feel that some of these characters are kind of dumb and two still not sharing everything they know. Did anyone else find almost all the characters in this book kind of shady?

haha yeah this book is like ...i mean i like it obviously since i gave it 5 stars but also she literally could have solved the mystery in like 5 minutes if everyone wasn't being so shady and lying about everything lol

I have finished the book and will be moving on to An Artificial Night. Just a few observations before I move on.

(view spoiler)[ I did not see Jan dying at all. I was sad about that cause poor Sylvester keeps having horrible stuff happen to him and his family. I also felt really bad for April because she and her ignorance were taken advantage of. She wanted to help and she grew up from this but she still lost her Mom. I was honestly a bit surprised ti was Gordan in that I suspected her at first but then blew it off as too obvious. So much in this book totally could have been avoided if they had just been upfront with October. Not only that but they were all so stupid running around and doing things by themselves. I was like do none of you people have any type of self-preservation at all? Overall I really liked this book and am ready to go on and read the next. (hide spoiler)]
