I read this book around the late 90's. It is a black romance novel.

It is about a single mother who has twin daughters. She finds out she is pregnant after the father is killed in a motorcycle accident. She is kicked out of the house because she is pregnant.

The main character puts herself through college while taking care of her daughters. She works in a law firm and falls in love with an attorney.
