No, that expired again π
lol. I ended up getting the paperback from book outlet and it got here a little while ago so I don't have to worry about that anymore lol.
Lmao π€£ I have 2 books that I borrowed from the library and I'm desperately trying to finish the first before it expires in 12 days. The 2nd expires in 18 days but there's a wait list on both of them so who knows when I'd get to finish them if I don't finish them in time
That is so annoying, right? I am able to keep the physical copies longer, why not the ebooks too? π Lol
Probably because it's easier for them to take it back... I wonder if I turn off my wifi on my kindle if they'd be able to delete my copy
π I don't even know but you can try! Lol.
I read quite a bit of the book today. I'm on page 189 where they're talking about The Hillside Stranglers.

I'd love to know what new evidence they have that has led to new leads! I didn't buy it though. I was putting my card in the machine when I saw it so it was too late
The other day I watched a documentary on Netflix called Jack the Ripper: Prime Suspect and it was pretty good! They had an interesting theory and some compelling evidence!
On Netflix you say? I might have to look that up! There will be 2 evenings this week that my other half works late so I'll have the TV to myself
Have you read anymore of the book lately? I read quite a bit of it... like a week or so ago π
lol. Right now I'm on section 5: The Question of Madness, so I'm pretty close to the end!
lol its been a while... i need to get back at it. My goal for this weekend is to knock out a bunch of books that i've started and haven't finished. i'm pretty confident i can finish at least 2 of them and hopefully make some decent progress on this one. My other half has to work all weekend and i've decided that i'm not turning the TV on and i'm just going to read
Oh yeah, I get that. I also started up again with reading a bunch of books at once and it's a bit overwhelming. Lol.
I was doing so good... a minimum of 1 chapter of each/day (except i wasn't reading this book on weekends) but then the 3rd book in my SJTR series came out and all other books ceased to exist for a while and i've struggled to get back into all my active books. I am reading one non-fiction book that fascinates me...
It discusses the differences between extroverts and introverts... i am an introvert (i'd be willing to bet most people on GR are as book worms tend to be introverts) and reading how i fit in in the world and why extroverts and introverts behave the way they do in the same situations has been enlightening to say the least.
Oooh, that book does sound interesting! I am also and introvert... hardcore. Lol. I am going away this weekend so I probably wont have much time for reading (unless I can rope my brother into driving so I can read on the car ride there. Lol).
Lol well then I'll most likely be way ahead of you when you get back. I just finished chapter 7. The last 3 chapters combined were still shorter than chapter 4... I've been going back and forth between serial killers, introverts, and a book for entrepreneurs all day. I'm determined to finish those 3 this weekend.
Probably! Lol. You read quite a bit today! I'll try and finish it within the coming week. Same goes for all the other books I'm currently reading too π
lol
Lol I did read a lot. I've been reading only this book today (I'm currently 72% done). I'm in section 3 reading about profiling... if I had read this book 15 years sooner, I probably would have become a profiler
Just finished! Apparently, the last 22% of the book is acknowledgements and citations... 1 book down, 2 to go!
Nice! That was quick! Lol. Yeah profiling is interesting... though I'm not at that part yet. But I do watch a lot of Criminal Minds. Lol.
Lol well if you think about it... we're drawn to serial killers because we want to know how & what makes them tick... all profiling is is an educated assessment & guess of who a person is based on certain actions/ traits
I finished this book yesterday! Overall, I really enjoyed it! Thanks for recommending it! π
Oh yeah, that series has been on my radar lately and I will definitely be starting it soon! It sounds awesome! I've already read 2 prequel novellas and I really liked them!

Thanks for reading it with me! Oh speaking of hunting killers, I saw an ad on hulu yesterday for one of those subscription boxes... https://www.huntakiller.com/
I mentioned it to Tony last night. He said that it sounded like fun but then had to be a practical downer & mention that it would be another monthly bill
Well, I mean, it's not a lie. Lol. I think it would be fun to do it once just to see what it's like. I am curious. Lol.
Lol no it's not a lie and we do have enough other expenses. We don't really need to add a subscription box to it. However, I too am curious... does each box contain enough clues to solve a single case or do subsequent boxes provide more clues & build on previous boxes?
Hmmm, idk. I would hope that each individual box would come with it's on little case. But idk how it works. lol
i have too many questions to commit to buying a product lol. When i bought my Gen 1 Kindle, i researched and read reviews for months before spending the $200 they went for when they were first released... if i'm going to spend the money, it better be worth it
Oh yeah, I get that! I was the same way when I bought my new phone at the beginning of the year. It was SO expensive, but I am happy with the choice I made. I deliberated on it for a LONG time! Lol
Hmm I don't tend to overthink big purchases that I know I need... phones, cars, houses... but when it's just a "want" I tend to take my time so that I don't spend unnecessarily. We're getting married in july so we're really trying to budget... I've had a replacement water bottle (i dropped mine & broke it) in my amazon cart for 2 weeks... its $20
Yeah that makes sense. Speaking of water bottles, I've been wanting one that is super expensive, but apparently it keeps your water cold for 24 hours! My cousin has one and she loves it! I haven't pulled the trigger and bought it though. Lol.
Thanks! We're pretty excited. It's not going to be anything major... we're eloping and spending a week in Charleston SC. We're still going to have a photographer and get dressed up... there's also a botanical gardens place down there that will allow you to get married on their property for a very reasonable price.
That sounds really nice though! I, personally, would prefer that over a big huge wedding... I'm not a party person. Lol.
