SOLVED. Possible YA book set or written during JFK (?) about a girl who gets bullied in school. [s]

in the book I'm pretty sure the mentioned girl in the title is a new student who gets bullied by two other girls in the school, and there is a specific spot in the book where the girl and her friend are eating lunch when the bullies come over and sit at their table, one of which sitting on the lap of the main girl pretending she isn't there. I read this book in school between grade 4-6 which was between 2008-2011.
