Sea of Rust is original, I'll give it that. There's lots to enjoy about it, for example the fact that it's told from the robots' perspectives because there are no more humans. But the writing style is difficult to enjoy, especially because I can't tell if it's deliberately 'robotic' or if Cargill just isn't a great writer. For example, there's a *lot* of exposition.
