Zeke | 4 comments Jessica Khoury wrote another book called Kalahari, it includes the same company that's in Vitro, Corpus, would that make Kalahari Corpus book 2? And is Origin part of that series as well, if it is a series.

Z-squared | 8576 comments Series don't have to be numbered. If books take place in the same universe but have no particular order, we we can create a series without numbering. Do these three books take place in the same universe?

Amanda | 2442 comments Based on what I'm seeing on the author's website (having not read the books), this would be a series, but the books would be unnumbered. They share the same universe, but do not need to be read in any particular order. She doesn't specifically mention the upcoming book, not surprising given it doesn't come out for another 6 months.

From the author's website:

Vitro is not a sequel to Origin, but it is a companion novel. That means it is set in the same universe as the one Pia lives in, but only one character appears in both. You don't have to read them in any particular order, since the stories are each independent of the other.

I would rename and remove the numbering. Author said on her website:
Will there be a sequel to Origin?
Short answer: no. Origin is a standalone novel.
