SOLVED. Children's Book - About going on an outing inside your house. [s]

The book I am looking for is a children's book about a group of little children who want to go on an outing, but cannot (not sure why), so they go on an outing inside their house. I seem to recall this involves bunk beds being a boat and various other escapades.

I read the book in the early nineties and it was a majorly illustrated book, so aimed at younger children (aged 5-7 perhaps).
