Chris (kingtermite) | 48 comments I know this is kind of an old post, but I looked at this thread just after reading a book description (that Good Reads put up as "similar to" a book I was looking at) that sounded similar to what you describe.

If you are still active and see this response, might this be the book?

Wendy (lassinthelibrary) There is an aspect of this in Margaret Atwoods latest book "The Heart Goes Last". This was discussed in the end part of the book as females are being made to this kind of specification. Maybe it's that book?

Other than the first part about women being property, it sounds nothing like The Handmaid's Tale.

That really is weird. Makes me think of this Salvador Dali piece.
