Amazon's Rules of Series Numbering... Only Whole Numbers?

An author mentioned to me that Amazon will only allow whole numbers for numbering books within a series. This is different from day the 0.5 increments used on GR for novellas. So GR might have it listed as 1, 1.5, and 2 but Amazon will have 1, 2, and 3.

I tried searching but I am figuring those rules may only be visible for someone with authority to post books.

Has anyone heard of this rule of Amazons?

Since this is GR we only use GR Rules, not Amazons

Librarians only fix book data on GR.

I suggest posting in the Author feedback group or search / post on Amazon.
