Elaine | 181 comments I loved The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare.
I laughed all through the book. I was enchanted.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments I don't think I'd finish anything before Sunday.
So here we go:

No solid 5 stars this month
4.5 stars Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts on audio
4 stars He Loves Lucy by Susan Donovan
4 stars The Defiant Hero (Troubleshooters, #2) by Suzanne Brockmann

Biggest disappointment:
An Irresistible Alliance (Devil's Brood Trilogy #2; Cynster Next Generation #5) by Stephanie Laurens The Sea King (Weathermages of Mystral, #2) by C.L. Wilson A Night to Surrender (Spindle Cove, #1) by Tessa Dare All on audio and 2 and 1.5 stars

Lauren (laurenjberman) Sorry you didn't enjoy A Night to Surrender, ShoSho. I know that book has been hit/miss for some.

I have The Sea King on my Kindle but I've yet to work up the enthusiasm to read it. The first book was OK though.

I'm on the waiting list for Shelter in Place

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments Lauren, I'm having difficulties with HR. But this one didn't work out for me at all. I wanted a bit more story and less sex scenes.

The Sea King, well,... I loved the first one on audio the narrator was fantastic. This was the same narrator and enjoyed the audio. Unfortunatley the book should have come with trigger warning, halfway through the book (view spoiler) plus the plot needed improvement. I still shudder when I think about it.

It was very NR and very unlike her books at the same time. I really enjoyed the audio.

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments I’ve been rereading Kate Daniels in preparation for #10. This month I read Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews Magic Shifts (Kate Daniels, #8) by Ilona Andrews and Magic Stars (Kate Daniels, #8.5, Grey Wolf, #1) by Ilona Andrews . The last one is a novella that I hadn’t read before. These are all 5 or 4.5 stars.

Other books I enjoyed: American Gods by Neil Gaiman and The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

Worst book: An Irresistible Alliance (Devil's Brood Trilogy #2; Cynster Next Generation #5) by Stephanie Laurens it was incredibly boring...

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments It is intense. Definitely out my comfort zone. Also, I lead the discussion of it for my brick & mortar bookclub...so I needed a review.
