Congratulations on finishing, Dlyn! And you're welcome! It's been fun leading a challenge (my first time)!

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed my selection for "C" - Seduced By The Heart Surgeon by Carol Marinelli. This is the danger of doing random word searches through the TBR pile. Oh well, at least it's off my TBR. Even for an erotic romance, this was poorly written. Story was entirely unbelievable as well. Not continuing the series and not worth reading. 2 stars

message 110: by Megan (new)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed my selection for "E" - Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I really enjoyed the writing! Add to that it was set in a high school in the late-90's, which is when I was in high school, and she did a great job of portraying it! Characters were interesting and complex, and I didn't find the story to be predictable. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

message 116: by Megan (new)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just finished my selection for "I" - Falling into Place by Amy Zhang. I appreciate the author's examination of teenage issues. However, the use of the imaginary friend was distracting. And the snapshot sections were oddly placed. Overall, worth reading. 3.5 stars

8/8 - CAMPFIRE spelled and challenge completed!

5/6 completed

I slacked a little in reading everything that I wanted to read this month. I ended up reading The Story of Doctor Dolittle today for S and since it fit into my popsugar and book riot reading challenges for childhood classics prompts. I only have to finish E, and I only have about 2 hours of the audiobook left for Everything Here Is Beautiful so hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow.

Not to worry, things happen. Maybe you can use these for some other challenges and get to them then.

I finished the audiobook for Everything Here Is Beautiful on my way home from work this evening for E. I was trying my hardest not to finish, but I made it with a couple hours to spare. 6/6 done.

Chris (cb100) | 50 comments Message 62 updated. 8/8 done! Purple Hibiscus (of course) and The Leavers were the best of the 8 for me. Thanks for running the challenge. I don't think I would have gotten there on my own. :)
