I'll call Word of God on that one :), that is author intent. Author has a blog at http://holavedsbrudar.blogspot.com and describes her works, and upcoming books there.

I think the series is supposed to link in a "slice of life" kind of way, 1850s Sweden as an linchpin.

From your explanation I gather there are no characters or universe in common for these books, so they will not be considered a series on Goodreads. The authors intent and the theme is not enough.

On the other hand since they do not meet Series Standards you could create a listopia for the books.
