Were you onto Amalthea from the beginning or did it take longer for you to figure her out? Did you believe she had a partner and was somehow working with Elijah?

In The Sinner there was a short story at the end where Maura went to visit her mother, Amalthea. I knew she was a piece of work based on that story but I didn't know how involved in everything she was. I wanted to think she was a victim but she definitely proved she was not.

In the beginning, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Not sure when it began to dawn on me that this woman was running a con but I was always a little suspicious. When she was with that crazy Dr. Donnelly, I got the feeling then she was faking it. There’s no way two women would have gotten in a car with that nut job. That’s when I got wise.
