I recently heard about a book. It sounded similar to the Penderwicks. There were children (girls?) living in the English countryside (possibly in a castle?). It sounded heartwarming and I think it was a series. It may have been recent or an older book. It may have been mentioned on the podcast "What Should I Read Next", but I can't find it in the recent show notes. Any clues?

ETA: Also it's not part of a series, but I'm throwing it out there anyway since you weren't entirely sure if it was or was not a series.
