There is a little boy who climbs a ladder and goes into the tv. there people (maybe creatures) inside that have a party for him. There is a long table. The food is all made of paper and I think there is something about confetti. I remember he likes it there but misses home so he crawls back out with the ladder. I remember the illustrations being simple without much background detail. Lots of white left on the pages around the pictures. Im not sure when it was published but should be late 1980s to early 1990s
