In Cold Blood - Truman Capote. It's been on my list for a long time. :)

I chose Sweet Expectations by Mary Ellen Taylor because of the cover. The cover showing the front of the bakery is so homey and inviting. And that ran true to the story. It fit the bill for a good summer read. Daisy has come home to Union Street Bakery to help save the family bakery as her parents are getting older and her brother in law has died. Daisy has a surprise of her own and finds a few surprises in the renovation of the bakery. It was a fine little, fast read. I liked the characters and one wonders if a series is in the works. (less)
