The source material of the Cannes 25th Anniversary Special Award-winning film adaptation by Visconti.

This would be great, but the series is still in development? Maybe we should wait for its release. I'll certainly add it to our to-read pile :)

Both great choices, thanks :)

I'd rather like to add this to our quick reads - at once too - it is a kind of novella, not very long, perfect for that category. Totally forgot it, thanks for mentioning it :)

Here we are again with random choice books :) You can nominate any book you want; it only has to have an adaptation of some sort, a movie or a TV doc, anything that can be watched after reading the book.

Oh that was a good movie! I'd like to watch that again. A while ago I entertained the idea of making a Hitchcock project, all his books and movies :) But this will do for now ;)

I've just seen a trailer for The Man Who Fell to Earth, coming next month to TV. Looks very interesting. There was a Bowie movie we can watch too. What do you think?
December 2022
Still contemplating, but the choice of this December may be the last one for a while, meaning I'll probably put the club in a sort of hiatus. It wont' be so bad, as nothing really happens here, and members (me included) may afterwards focus their efforts on the books on our bookshelf that are still waiting to be read, until we figure out what to do next.
However, I'd still like to put one more book to our bookshelf, to end this year properly. The Man Who Invented Christmas might be nice fit. Freely offer your choices below.

I was working too much this year, so I managed to read only few books, and bigger portion of those were audiobooks I listened to during my commute to work! At the moment I am trying hard to finish Tolkien's biography and letters. When I started the project I didn't realize I'll be so busy, but I do not regret it - I will finish it eventually :)
I hope you won't mind if we don't do any new books next year. Of course, if you or someone else would like to read something new, those will be gladly put on our bookshelf. I just won't insist on new polls and nominations.

Thanks, I appreciate your support! Good luck with the course, it'll surely be interesting and challenging :)

I have read somewhere the series is in the development, so we might get it on our bookshelf someday :)
