Abduction

Why, oh why did I order this book? The thinnest of plots (to go with the thin air, I guess) and the most unbelievable characters (in the sense that nothing they said or did rang true). It would seem the author has a ton of fans and I wonder why? I also wonder why I finished the novel - perhaps hoping for improvement? I did not happen.
I am trying to find any redeeming aspects of this novel and I cannot find a single one: poor writing, predictable plot, stick -figure characters who make predictably bad decisions - yes, it has them all. So both thumbs down for the book.
