Hi, I'm Hanya I love to read and eat. Other than that, I love music, TV shows, movies and football.
My favourite TV show is probably Orphan Black or Black Mirror
I'm lazy yet I'm ambitious
I don't like myself but I love the kind of person I am
I want to be happy but I think of things that make me sad
All in all I'm a weirdo
I don't think I can pick a favorite book or series but Sarah J. Maas is probably my favorite author.
I mostly read YA, fantasy and fiction but I'll read anything if someone dares me to.
Hey hi hello - I'm Ruby, I'm recently finally getting out of an awful reading slump (like, awful)I'm also getting back on Goodreads after a while - I love to write and read (no kidding)
Annnnd I guess my genre's are more contemporary nowadays - I used to be all in on fantasy but I've been reading a ton of realistic fiction etc recently
On the Meyer's Brigg Personality test I got like 90% introverted so yeah I spend most of my time reading books and watching Netflix when I'm not on a stage with my incredibly dorky cast in shows (theater geek, sorry)

Um...hey. My name is Ashley. I don't really have a favorite genre. I care more about the characters than the genre. I guess if I had to choose one, I'd say mystery or sci-fi. I also love Young Adult, but I don't really consider that a genre, even though some people do.
I'm a pretty extroverted person. I'm always super talkative and friendly to people. I do acting and I'm a musician, so that's cool. I don't watch that much TV, because it's hard for me to do that after reading a book(Because books are so much better). Besides all my insane reading, I just do normal stuff like hang out with friends.
I'm Hope. I love reading YA and Mystery/Thrillers. :)

Hi! My name is Kel and I love to read all fiction but my favorite genres are fantasy and YA. I love anything with a lot of action and some romance- mystery, sci-fi, whatever is recced to me, anyways. Outside of reading I like to watch sports - American football and basketball mostly, and I like to draw, even though I'm not good at it. I also love music and food. I could probably write a soliloquy about chocolate, but I will not, because I should keep this short. If anyone has any good recommendations... hit me up.

Hi. I'm Tahmina. I have too many favorite books to write down but some of my favorites tend to be Sci-fi, Mystery, YA and I have a thing for Classics and Russian Authors!!I hate self help books and anything to that reads like one *cough* The Alchemist, The Secret *cough*
I watch a lot of TV and movies. I love to listen to a lot of podcasts while at work (I can tell i'm a bit older than most people on here) And love to read. Definitely an introverted person that's why I am on here most of the time.

Hi everyone, I'm R! I live up in the PNW, after living in NorCal for a quarter of a century—it's crazy down there now with all the wildfires, but nice that I don't have to deal with another summer of smoke inhalation.
Love reading, of course, and I read almost every genre. my bookish history is: grew up with HP, ASoUE, and Goosebumps— in junior high I went from that straight into only reading fan fiction, nonfiction, and post Industrial Age to 1960s American and European fiction. My YA 'journey' started as an adult [as before tht YA was just HP, Twilight and knock-offs of both (on that note, anyone remember the Charlie Boone series?)]. I like to listen to mysteries like Christie, Daisy Dalrymple series, and ilk, because I find I can hardly read mysteries before they become trite and underwhelming—e.g. Dan Brown.
The only genre that I find myself crazy hesitant in is contemporary romance both YA and adult, but I'll still read them if the summary manages to hold onto me.
Books I have found myself consistently rereading are: The Great Gatsby and The Martian. Some of my new favorites are: The Raven Boys (series) and Jane Eyre
I'm also into sci-fi (so say we all), animated movies, history, and anything that could be considered mysticism/supernatural. I'm one of those nerds with tattoos so in some ways people think it makes me edgy but in most ways just makes me nerdier, but it's like six of one,,,
Also, I can apparently make intros unyieldingly boring, so if you've managed this far, I'm sorry omg
(I haven't read the Alienest, but my mom loves it, so,,, shrug)
There are some very interesting, intelligent people in this group! Hey everyone. I am a fiction reader. Mostly YA. My favorite book growing up was Goodnight Moon. Then I moved on to Polar Express& From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankwiler. From there it was the little house in the big woods series, All manifestations of Sweet Valley Twins, & Babysitters Club. I’m just now trying to read Harry Potter. I just finished Chamber of Secrets- not really a fan of that one. I made myself finish The Alchemist. I got nothing from it, lol. Everyone’s like read it again!! .... I love tv & movies. Real big on Disney. Paul Walker is still my celebrity crush (RIP). Most recent book that made an impact Me Before You, b/c it’s about something I’m against. But, I was able to see the other side of the argument & cried like a baby. I am very social & like talking pop culture

Omg!! I've lived in the Sacramento region most of my life. Now in Rancho Cordova but also in Sacramento and Elk Grove.

I'm Alia, I'm 28 and studying theater and english teaching at the University of Utah. I've lived in three different states and five different cities so I've moved around a lot. I hope to eventually teach english overseas. My favorite genres are high and urban fantasies and anything with faeries in it. I like listening to podcasts about folklore and have recently become obsessed with Critical Role and started a D&D group myself.
Other than all that I've also got three super cute cats and a dog. I'm also reading a ridiculous number of things because of having little time for reading during my school semester and I've got a problem with impulse reading.

Hey there bookmates! Nice meeting you all. I come from the beautiful island of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean basin. I work a lot and I spend most of my free time with my family. Where I work I get to meet people from all over the world and every now and then I get or give recommenadtions on books. I wish I had more free time to read and write as much as my soul desires. Reading is obviously my main obsession, but I also love singing, writing, taking photos, watching movies and series (especially those based on books), cooking and spending time with my treasure-people. Enjoy your time as a student Attiya and don't stress too much over the future. Just follow your heart and your own desires and of course that small inner voice of yours, your instinct. Time just flies by and all we can do is simply make the best of it by doing what we love and sharing it with those we love.

I made this group to make new friends and meet people who read for fun. Also, this is a really good way of finding new books that fit my taste.

I mostly read YA fantasies but every now and then I can be found reading a classic. (well, I do read classics, but I don't necessarily finish them guilty)
My absolutely favorite series is The Maze Runner Series and the most boring book I ever managed to finish was probably The Alchemist
I am probably having the most important years of my life as a student and I am giving it my all wink, wink
(I just hope my mother doesn't open and read it. That would not end well.)
