Brexit. Not the worst sounding word. Imagine if Portugal decided to leave. Porxit?
Hungary wouldn't be bad too, like something boxing related - Huxit (Hookzit).
Anyway best of luck to UK, who said "good fences make good neighbours", sounds good to me.
Good roommates? nah.... never heard of such.

One for Rome's equivalent of Phil Hammond - Itaxit?
When the Dutch need to get rid of persistent phlegm - Hoxit?
When Helsinki decides to opt out - Fixit?
When Zagreb plays dead with the EU? - Croaxit?

Sorry, not keen on "wankstard", prefer "twonk" ;-)

Ha ha, exactly! You're thinking 'Just go to bed or get on with yer business - are you hanging about cos you suspect something?' and 'Gotta avoid eye contact, but hold on, if I keep looking at the floor they'll know something's wrong... but if I make eye contact they'll see the size of my pupils!'
Could be worse Tech. After one particular all-nighter in Sheff, a mate had chewed and gurned that much that his cheek was swollen almost tennis-ball size - upon getting home, his mother took one look and flattened him with a right-hander!
To be fair, he was a mess but... don't think belting him was really helping matters. : )

My mistake, it was Someday. Uses same piano sample.

Might be being a little hard on him but with his experience he should be able to mix anything... in his sleep! Don't get me wrong, ya can get away with it when you're a bit hammered yourself and playing to a loyal crowd all off their trolleys - all they want is the tunes, but in a straight-up radio session? Shouldn't be hard to do. Beeb probably not paying him enough - if owt. Didn't hear the start. Was he on there to promote anything like new material or owt?

His full live "mix" from the other day is available here:-

Keith Levene is on 'Flowers of Romance', described at the time as possibly the least commercial album ever delivered to a record company. He was only sacked after releasing his own mix of the follow-up, 'This is what you want, this is what you get'
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_F...
It's a funny thing. The drum sound on the album impressed Phil Collins so much he used the engineer for his own solo record.

phil collins? bandwagonist!"
Ah, you gotta blame Wobble's sticky fingers then. Naughty to pinch your boss's backing tracks for your solo project!
The prog is everywhere, tech. Lydon was a fan of Peter 'Van Der Graaf Generator' Hammill, and Levene roadied for Yes and got a couple of lessons from Steve Howe. ;-)

.....and again, weirdly (mibbe no), apart from a few bit' 'n' bobs i don't care much for wobble's post p.i.l. stuff.

Some funnies up there but... gotta 'ave a larff aint ya?

I went to see 'Fatal Attraction' at our very small local Cinema and you know the bit where Glenn Close is supposedly drowned in the Bath and suddenly rises up with a Knife? ... well I was SO caught up in it all and not expecting it (like everyone else apparently was) that I absolutely screamed my Head off!!!
I've never ever done that before, or since, in public - and I was SO mortified that I slid so far down in my Seat that I was virtually sat on the Floor by the time the Lights came up and everyone else turned around laughing to see who it was?!! ... my friend just sat there staring straight ahead and kept hissing ... "You complete and utter daft bobbin!" ... at me!!! ... HA HA HA HA HA!!! ;o>

Fatal Attraction? Wouldn't that be back in the days of curtains over the cinema screen, which upon opening, would be met with much applause and whistling? "Smokers to the left please" and "Pa-pa pa-pa pa-pa pa-pa-da-da-da-pa-pa Pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-paaaaah dah!" Pearl & Dean? : )
Miss those days, so I do.

One of them is this one ... https://www.facebook.com/pg/marplecin...

It was the first Cinemascope picture and the screen hadn’t been adapted to the new wide format. To the great delight of the Liverpool audience, Richard Burton exited right, apparently straight into the Gents’.

Maybe it's just a 'rose tinted spectacles' kinda thing with me I dunno.
EDIT - SPR was quite a way back now in the late 90s. Were they using SS back then? It felt like it at the time - and it was in the new multiplex that had all mod cons - but maybe I just made a bit of a tw@ of meself there! : )
My main point remains however - many things changed by the 90s re cinema, with many of em being ripped down (for a while we had to go to Sheffield from here to see a film as we'd lost both cinemas in Chesterfield) and tho new ones in other locations eventually replaced em, the 'atmosphere thing' seemed to die with the old buildings.
You remembered!
