I already read Chasing Space by Leland Melvin when the book kicked off in late May and it was a book scheduled for people in this club to read in June. I also think that this is a very good book for everyone. I think it is very cool that Leland Melvin got to go into space or even have astronaut training when he is practically deaf because people don't choose usually people with disabilities to go on missions involving space. It was also very funny when Leland played for The University of Richmond and on his first day of practice, the veteran players forced the rookies to choke down a very nasty mix that included tabasco sauce, tobacco, and some other very gross and slimy ingredients all because the coaches weren't there that day of football practice and that meant the veteran football players had to help the rookies out in whatever the lesson plan was for that day of practice.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the book, Arnav! Do you typically read nonfiction? If you do, we'd love to hear some recommendations for your favorite nonfiction books. Although I tend to stick to fiction books, I do like memoirs like Leland's book.

I just started reading Chasing Space, and I'm already hooked! I can't wait to get to the parts that you described, Arnav.

I don't have recommendations for nonfiction books, but I like biographies and autobiographies as nonfiction books. Honestly, I think fiction is 65% and nonfiction is 35% in my variety of reading I've done. I like reading biographies about famous inventors and the periods of dinosaurs from the most I've read.
