Robur the ConquerorThis book was written in 1886. Although no date is listed in the book but it is set in that time period. Would it be acceptable?

It's OK if it's set at the time of writing (just make sure it's not set in the future since its science fiction)
I just wanted to confirm that you haven't read Nevernight (won an award in 2016) and that I can use Just One Damned Thing After Another (time travel) since you read it after the challenge started! Thanks.
