Has anyone been following the Allison Mack news that broke months ago, and now about to go to trial? In case you aren't aware, she played Chloe on Smallville as one of the series favorite characters.

The news sounds ridiculous, but she has worked her way up through an 'empowerment group' NXIVM, where the top tier is led as a sex slave cult under some creep named Keith Raniere.

Since she has been named as his top "slave assistant", she was arrested not long after he was, and faces up to 15 years in prison along with him.

At first I thought she was brainwashed as badly as the others - but she has admitted recently the branding instead of tattoos was her idea.

It's such a bizarre story!

Kristin Kreuk was a member first, but under a lower tier and says she knew nothing of the cult activities of sexual slavery. She says she left the group years ago, but was the one who originally recruited Mack.


Other Smallville stars have remained silent on the issue other than the character who played Pete, who had his own run-ins with police for trafficking drugs and serving time in prison after the show.

Sentencing has not yet happened, unless I've missed it. Been following the case since last year.
