Wrong Format and Year, and No Page Count

Hi,
First, am I wrong when I claim that each edition and format of every book has its unique ISBN?

I just bought this book in paperback and tried adding it as I could not find any in this format. I got this message: http://tinypic.com/r/s2xyzc/9

Searched for the ISBN and found a hardcover edition from 2016 without any pagecount.

Can this be fixed?

Actually in a perfect world you would be right, but it is not and ISBNs are reused often, especially on the same book when only the cover has changed and not the content. There are many instances where paperback and hardcover share the same ISBN.

I would suspect this must be the case for this one, but I cannot be sure, so I would think you are going to need to create an ACE (Alternate Cover Edition) for the paperback edition.
