I've read this one several times, but never via audio. I've requested the CD from the library, but there is a waitlist.

"I want you to leave. You're not save here.As long as you're in London you're not save from me." His gaze raked over the rippling mass of her hair, her delicate face, her bewildeded eyes. With a sudden groan he pulled her against him, burying his face in her. Sara closed her eyes, her mind spinning. His body was solud and powerful, hunching over here to accommodate their difference in height. She felt him tremble with the force of his need. He spoke just beneath her ear his voice thick with tormented pleasure. "You have to leave Sara... because I want to hold you like this until your skin melts into mine. I want you in my bed, the smell of you on my sheets, your hair spread across my pillow. I want to take your innocence.God! I want to ruin you for anyone else."

Joeera wrote: "What I found funny was everybody would ask her how Mathaldia was doing..."
LOL! I do remember that about the book.
And yay! My CDs came in to the library. Maybe I'll be able to pick them up tonight.

I picked this up from the library on CD format. I'm still listening to the other BOM, though. I've not been reading much; watching detective shows for some reason.

I enjoyed it, but it is a bit old fashioned.
I liked Sara
And I liked how everyone asked about Matilda.
But Joyce was just terrible and unbelievable, I know she was the villain but it was a bit too much cliche.

Okay, just a few questions....
1. Was this your first Lisa Kleypas' book? If so, what did you think? Will you read more? If not, then how does it compare to her other books?
2. Derek Craven is not your average hero. What did you think of him? Does it matter that he is not a Duke or Earl or other blueblood?
3. Sara Fielding rescues the hero. Again not your typical heroine. What did you think of her?

1. Of course I have read a Lisa Kleypas before.
I think from what I read, that there is always some sort of gambling house in the books, but I think it's because I didn't read much by her.
I like her style and I like that she writes different characters and the typical characters of historical romance.
2. It didn't matter to me that he was not a duke or an earl, I liked it better that he was not. But I think it was too much for him to get all that fortune when he was just thirty or something, it's was a bit too much with the castle and chateau.
Merripen was not a duke but I think he was a better written character and I liked him more, more realistic.
3. I liked Sara, ALOT. I think she deserves better than Derek.
What do you guys think?
Hmmm... the CD I got from the library is a MP3-CD and there is only one. My iPod is not prompting me to copy it. I'm not sure what to do. Anyone know how to copy it to my iPod?
Dreaming of You
She stood at danger's threshold—then love beckoned her in.
In the shelter of her country cottage, Sara Feilding puts pen to paper to create dreams. But curiosity has enticed the prim, well-bred gentlewoman out of her safe haven—and into Derek Craven's dangerous world.
A handsome, tough and tenacious Cockney, he rose from poverty to become lord of London's most exclusive gambling house—a struggle that has left Derek Craven fabulously wealthy, but hardened and suspicious. And now duty demands he allow Sara Fielding into his world—with her impeccable manners and her infuriating innocence. But here, in a perilous shadow-realm of ever-shifting fortunes, even a proper "mouse" can be transformed into a breathtaking enchantress—and a world-weary gambler can be shaken to his cynical core by the power of passion...and the promise of love.
