I'm conducting a reading study and I need a few books with different reading difficulty levels so I can determine the speed of reading based on the difficulty.
I don't read anything other than simply written thrillers so I know much. i appreciate it if somebody could help me out with this.

I would recommend all of Gillian Flynn's books. I find them complex in the way she handles characters who are usually extremely flawed and damaged.
