Adding pen name doesn't 'stick'

Hi,
I'm a Librarian in need of some advice. I am trying to add pen name to a book record, but when I press save the second author name isn't added. All other edits are stored, but not the added name. So I'm guessing there is a technical reason, like the author pages have been linked and therefor reject the name as 'duplicate' or something.

These are the two author pages in question:

Anyone who has ideas how to solve the issue?

- I'm not keen on leaving half a series on the current 'landing page'
- I'm equally not keen on moving the first half of the series off a claimed profile, and back to the current 'landing page'

Haha, I bet you still got it. Something once learned tend to remain forever in one's brain. The memory bank just need something to trigger it. :)
