I think a lot of romance writers kind of fall into that trap- the man are almost too good to be true and the women end up being more flawed. I think it could be because they want us to fall for the guys- so the men have to be great, but they also need tension to make a good story and so the women have issues that keep them apart and keep the story going. Maybe?

Maybe KM just writes men better than women. And I'm not questioning why the guys are with these women, like I do after some books, but they just weren't really memorable for me in their own stories. I remember Harper and Violet from Cade's book, and Violet in Harper's book, and Isobel is good in Violet's book. It's...weird. I feel torn about the series and wanting to like the books more than I actually did.
