@Skye I just finished up The Darkest Time of Night and until reading it had no clue it was about alien abductions, I thought it was another kidnapped child thriller. But I thought I'd ask before submitting if you really wanted to read 2001 or if you want me to cover the alien category instead?

No you can change it over :) 2001 isn't a definite anyway.

Just found a random KU pick for Queen in title. Looks a little trashy, but it'll fill the spot and it'll be a quick read! Are there any others that you guys think we'll have a lot of trouble finding a book for?

At this point we don't know if Sarah and Faith are going to read what they claimed on the sheet or if we'll end up with new teammates that want other categories so I kind of figured it's a wait and see until Sarah gets that sorted.
I'm almost done with Cress, right now I have it under main character that begins with K (i'm hoping it works for that one, Kai is under the characters section) but it can also work for book that is 600 pages or more that is blank on the sheet right now. Does anyone have something they want to read for the K character, or should I leave it there?

I've already turned one in with a Kate and I have another I could do with another Kate so the K seems easier to cover if I need to than a longer one.
That's a good point actually Carrie, I have a feeling we'll end up with at least one new teammate!Just to apologise to the team that my reading hasn't been as fast as usual this month, I probably should have gone medium but I'm doing my best to get through books for the rest of the month. Things haven't gone how I thought they would recently but hopefully my reading is on the up! :)
Those buddy points will certainly help Skye. :) Hopefully we'll hear something from Sarah today too, with only four of us I doubt we'd be able to keep up even if you did read more. I added a few more for me into the spreadsheet that will probably last me me the rest of this week. I will say if Faith is out I have Her Pretty Face I'd love to slot in the Pretty category since it's coming out early July and not sure it fits anywhere else.

I'm just trying to clear my Netgalley shelf and the more I read the more I pick up so it's an endless cycle. LOL

I'm so bad at Netgalley. I love requesting them but it was like pulling teeth to keep myself above the 80% mark or whatever it was! I finally gave up

But the more books you read and turn in the more you can have on your shelf without falling below 80%. It's like 250+ now for me to go below it. LOL
Wow you have read so many netgalley books! That is impressive!! I would be surprised if I’ve read more than 20 in there
Woah, that's insane! I haven't been on Netgalley for long, but I've only been approved for about 25 and I think my feedback is only around 50%.
Really if I didn't get them there I'd just be waiting in line at the library so I might as well request away and not have to worry about putting things on hold after they are published.

Faith has replied to say that she's been busier than she expected, but that she is still planning on taking part, and does still think that she'll be able to read 12 books. She still hasn't posted anything yet, but if she hasn't posted a review still in the next couple of days then I will be checking in with her again ☺

Hi guys :)I've decided instead of reading books to fit certain descriptions, I'm just gonna read books that I want to read and make them fit, because I have not been having a good reading month so far haha.
Hopefully now my reading will pick up and I can be a better teammate haha.
@Sarah Thanks for letting us know!@Ashleigh That's usually my strategy. LOL Really most any book should be able to go in somehow so hopefully we can figure them out. :)
It seems like Carrie is the only one of us not in a reading slump! I think I tried to branch out too much from my usual YA fantasy and it ended with a slump, Wasn’t the best idea I ever had
It could be worth starting to use the next board too and have reviews ready to post when we complete the first 100 (I have faith that we'll get there!).
Yeah, I wouldn't advise trying to read too many that are out of the normal range of what you enjoy. If you like YA fantasy then I'm sure there are some with love triangles and certain letters in titles or published at certain times that we could fit in the categories. I read such a wide range the stuff that gives me problems is like the ones asking for older titles or certain authors that I just don't have.

I feel like every book I have ever read has a love triangle in it, until I’m looking for one with it, and now none of mine have it. Does anyone know if Ash Princess has a love triangle, I have a BR coming up for that one, I was trying to find a place to put it the other day and couldn’t. I think it might have to be on the 2nd board. I have faith we will get there too!

Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem counting it there as most reviews mention it and it's even in the tags as love triangle.

I am 75% through the book I am reading.I am reading The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue because it was a lgbtq+ and it was the only thing around in library and it is a super long

Sarah is looking for a replacement for you already Sarah since you haven't posted by now so you need to speak with her. She may have you move to a fun team since you haven't finished one yet or she may let you stay but generally people get replaced by the end of the first week if they haven't posted or let her know what is going on and we are at week 2 now.

I know that Sarah said she was going to get back in touch with Faith and Sarah, but I've just noticed that Faith has put The King's Men under North Carolina, a book where the main character's first name includes an N and a C, but I don't think it fits there as the character is called Neil. Perhaps she thought it meant the author's name, but I didn't want to change things around without mentioning first!
I'm almost done with Ash Princess, have to finish the last audio section this morning at work then write up the review.@Skye- do you want to read the Queen of Gods book you have on the spreadsheet, or were you just reading it to fill that slot? I'm about to start Queen of Shadows and have it under book published in September right now, but wanted to check if you wanted the Queen slot or wanted me to move it there instead! It's super long, I seem to have picked a bunch of long books this month

LOL I thought that might be the case! I tried to read that book once for another Queen one a few months ago and it was a struggle. It'll take me awhile to finish Queen of Shadows, if you end up finishing that one I'll just keep mine in the September spot!

I downloaded it expecting it to be a really quick read to fill the slot, but I'm only 5% in and struggling!
Can we use foreign language editions to fill the letter spots? The Crane Wife would fit perfect on the wings on the cover spot, and I've found an edition of I See You called Estou a Ver-te, which works for a book with the letters S V and U in the title.
No offense to you ladies but I saw all the new messages on the chat and review threads and got all excited that maybe at least one of our missing members had shown up, now I'm disappointed again. LOL
