Ok, Last call.... *giggle* I'll be randomizing these in the next little while if someone else wants to throw a rec in for Tessa.

message 56: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I'm not gonna lie. Snowballin kind of scares me. :P Well, frostbite scares me anyway.

Amazingly enough, Tessa... the book that was chosen by completely random draw was Fearless! hope you enjoy!

message 58: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Hooray! Hope you get hooked on the series, Tessa. Enjoy!

message 59: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments WOOT! :) I own that one too!

message 60: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Nice.

message 61: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Wait WHAT?????????????? TESSA HAS NOT READ FEARLESS AS IN THE FEARLESS WITH MERCY???????????

message 62: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments The MC one. (No clue about this Mercy) Nope. I own it, but never got around to it. My dark reads have been leading me on the mafia path rather than the mc path.

message 63: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments YES MERCY FEARLESS!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S GOT QUITE A BIT OF DARK!

message 64: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I would think so! :P It's an MC book. I just kept gravitating to scary men in suits rather than scary men in leather.

message 65: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments There are scary AF men in suits too!

message 66: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments lol

message 67: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) LOL

Michele (guilliem) | 2131 comments I soooo loved To Hate Adam Connor by Ella Maise

It was a great rom-com with a satisfying and happy ending! Yay! Good feels!

:) But you are reading the sweet one.

message 72: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Wait, I'm too lazy to scroll through the comments.....what book are you reading Grey??

message 73: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments by the way, my pick from Tessa's list is:

Fear Me (Broken Love, #1) by B.B. Reid

message 74: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
I'm reading The Learning Hours from How to Be a Douchebag by Sara Ney

message 75: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Do those books have to be read in order?

message 76: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments The Douchebag ones? Not really. They are just people on the same team. There is a continuance to it, but it's not necessary at all.

message 77: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Thanks Tessa!

message 78: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
The Learning Hours HTDaDB got 4 stars from me! thanks Tessa!

message 79: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments :) Wasn't he the sweetest? I just wanted to hug him so many times.

message 80: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Once again...cue the book guilt. I didnt love Sincerely, Carter (Sincerely Carter, #1) by Whitney G.

Its my own fault. In effort to go into books "blind" I dont do enough investigating. I didnt realize this was a college romance and I have a low tolerence for college/party life type books.

Anyway, I at least completed it. 3 ***

message 81: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments There's always that!

message 82: by Donna (new)

Donna B (donnajo11) Hey y’all. What is this Fearless book that you speak of?!

I gotta remember you don't like that type. There's tons I love that aren't college/ HS party, but a lot of the CR I read is that type. :) No need for guilt. *hugs* If my head had been on straight, I'd have stopped you.

Ela | 4291 comments Donna wrote: "Hey y’all. What is this Fearless book that you speak of?!"

*GASP* SERIOUSLY?????????? Fearless (Dartmoor, #1) by Lauren Gilley

message 85: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Tessa, I totally loved the flashbacks though.

The going in blind thing seems to be a fail for me lately but other times I would have missed a great book. I read In Harmony based on Robins squeeing and if I read blurb I would have turned my nose up on it. (I hate Shakespeare and not fond of HS aged characters)

That was how to do a flashback. :) It's no big. We always disagree when it comes to the college/ HS type stuff. I should've remembered that.

I started it!

message 88: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Sadly I DNF'd my pick, Fear Me. So much love for it, but it just wasn't for me. I will still be reading "Frenched" which I mistakenly picked from the list Tessa WANTS to read.

message 89: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Yeah, it was a 3 star for me not sure why, I guess I just found it mediocre???

message 90: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Lisa wrote: "Sadly I DNF'd my pick, Fear Me. So much love for it, but it just wasn't for me. I will still be reading "Frenched" which I mistakenly picked from the list Tessa WANTS to read."

That's too bad. Looking at the blurb, you'll probably like Frenched. :)

message 91: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Finished Fearless. 4.5 stars. The half star is because of the lack of angst. Only Aiden's issue made me angsty throughout. *shrugs* But I really did love the story and thought it was fun and didn't want it to stop. :)

message 92: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments You need to read the others now Tessa! Glad you enjoyed it 😀

message 93: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I really want to read Aiden's story. I gotta get through do many to get to his. Lol I will though.

message 94: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Tessa I don't think it matters that much if you read them out of order, now that you've met most of the cast of characters. Go straight to Aiden's book if you want to. Although, come to think of it, the set up for his book comes in Walsh's book, The Skeleton King The Skeleton King (Dartmoor, #3) by Lauren Gilley

I really liked The Skeleton King and have reread it. Walsh doesn't seem that interesting in Fearless, but when he gets his own book, he really shines. And he's gorgeous with Emmy. So maybe try that one first, then you'll be all up to speed on Aiden. These books are addictive.

message 95: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Walsh sounds interesting. It's Michael that sounds boring. :) I felt the same way about the third book of the Morelli family. However, that one, if I had skipped it, I'd have missed some MAJOR overall arc stuff. Is there no overall arc between the books? That's not a bad thing but Michael sounds boring.

message 96: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Tessa, there is an overall arc. Michael also isn't boring, but the woman he hooks up with (can't remember her name) has some major major stuff going on in her life and I found it a bit confronting, actually. But if you're up to it, it's definitely worth reading them all in order, for the full experience. My favs are Skeleton King and Tastes Like Candy. That one is from a kinda side series, Lean Dogs. Oh my God, Candyman!!! Hot, hot, hot.

My least favs are the first one in the Lean Dogs, Snow in Texas which is about Mercy's half-brother Colin (and his relationship with Candyman's sister). Colin is a bit too beta for me. It was still good, but not as good as the others. The worst one for me is Loverboy which was just TOO CONFRONTING for me. But lots of people still loved it. It's the story of Aiden's friend Tango, who suffered terrible abuse as a child. *shudders*. I know it happens, but I don't want to read about it. Some baddies do get their just desserts in the end of the book, but still...... I just couldn't deal. But pretty much the rest of the books are fab.

Ok, updated this graphic too... if I don't have your ratings updated...please enlighten me if you've finished your book! Also, Jen...if you're still with us, I saw that you'd originally intended to join us in this challenge, but I didn't see a book chosen from you?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

message 99: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) I picked up the whole series for mine at the super bargain price. Sweet! But I haven't started it yet LOL. The Mafia and His Angel.

message 100: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Yes, I picked Fear Me. Haven't read it yet. But I did love Prison Promise even with the editing issues.
