Always watching is centered around a girl named Shaley O'Connor who has to solve the mystery of the death of her friend Tom. Personally, I did not enjoy this book because it lacked substance and it has a very cliche murder mystery storyline. However, the author does make you think about the people around you and if they are who you truly think they are. You never know if what is actually going through a person's mind at any moment. The author does show what goes on in the murder's mind which I did enjoy in the end.
