SOLVED. YA Fantasy. 5 year old girl? (Lily?) dies in a school shooting and wakes up in the afterlife to become the next Death. In afterlife, bulletin board sorts dead people into jobs (reapers etc.) & asylum for rehabilitating criminals. Read in 2017.

I read this book sometime last year, in the fall I believe, and it really stuck with me enough that I want to find and buy a physical copy. It didn't seem very old, some things that happened was that there was a blackboard where people who died got sorted into jobs such as reapers and so forth, there was an asylum area where people who committed crimes were housed and rehabilitated.
there were different area's to the afterlife, training ground for reapers, the MC had a special ability when she touched people.
I kind of want to say the MC's name was Lily?

Interesting - some bits of this sound like A Dirty Job, including that there's a (substantial secondary) character named Lily. In this case, though, Death is an adult man named Charlie.
