Chet is another one odd I think maybe he is related to some things like he is taking revenge for everything Emma did. Also, I don't believe Emma is complete innocent, she keeps twisting everything she said.

Sasha, Krystal and Miranda are pretty cute girls, I hope nothing happen to them. I still don't know where to put Becca and Fanny in all this. (hide spoiler)]

22-27 (view spoiler)[Ahhhhh. First of all damn, Franny that was some cold sh**, First treating Emma the way she has and then telling the cop about her past. Second why oh why did Emma divulge everything to this detective smh. And then pointing out Vivian, omg this is so bad for her really smh... I wouldn’t be surprised they’re all working together to make her crazy, perhaps planting fake Vivian’s 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Side note: the only thing I’m thinking so far (maybe) about what’s going on is.... Franny and her family have been hiding some modern day insane asylum on the property? There’s so many references to asylums and Franny’s Family doesn’t seem to have a past to be proud of. Plus she’s super rich and they can get away with almost anything.... Don’t know why I’m even putting in my two cents, I’ve been practically 1000% wrong in the authors other books lol (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[Holy hell Batman wtf just happened. I was so disappointed. So disappointed when the whole family was innocent and even Chet’s revenge scheme had nothing to do with what happened in the past. I was literally bummed and feeling let down. It was all an accident, not the usual low thrill ending I expected. But then out of flipping nowhere the author ends the ending with a whammy and Vivian is alive, she actually killed the girls herself because she blamed them for her sisters death. Omfg what?!?!?!?!!?!?! So much yes to this, I wasn’t a fan of Vivian, but never expected this ending.... The only thing is I wonder if Emma actually does turn the painting over to expose Vivian, that and do her and Theo actually get together? I for whatever reason don’t see either happening. Very pleased with this book. Apparently I’m more of a fan of thrillers than I ever knew 🤓🤓 (hide spoiler)]

I seriously hope Miranda, Krystal and Sasha are alive! I didn't believe for a second what was happening AGAIN? ANOTHER DISAPPEARANCE? The part that leaves me more shock is when Emma told everything, I KNEW they came back! I knew Emma closed the cabin's door because all these guilt she has it was probably for something like that but I'm so damn stunned because Emma tell everything to the police, they will think she is crazy. I don't know where this is leading! Maybe Franny's family is having a secret asylum near the camping or something like that? (hide spoiler)]

I was so glad all the girls were alive and well but still what the heck was Chet planning? Really? I was shocked by Vivian's appearance I really thought she was dead and was even more shocked that she killed Allison and Natalie because of her sister's dead.

I think she did reveal Vivian's portrait but not that Theo and Emma would last, they have so much history and pain between them. But this book is really all about vengeance and lies, so damn good. (hide spoiler)]

I really enjoyed Home Before Dark. It was such an eerie read. My favourite so far has been Lock Every Door and my least favourite Survive the Night.

I couldn't find a copy of this book at my library but found it on my kindle this morning. I don't remember ever buying or receiving it but I'm not complaining lol. Especially as I discovered this BR thread then too :)
