Ch 3 (15%) - (view spoiler)[ I must admit, I was pretty bored with the beginning of this book until Tatsumi battled it out with a giant spider lady. And it looks like he will now be pitted against the little kitsune at the monastery. (hide spoiler)]

20% (view spoiler)[ Oh that last bit of what was on the letter for Yumeko gave me goosies!! I like how this story even though it has this magical world around it, is still simple enough to sink into without a ton of world building! I'm already loving it. (hide spoiler)]

38% (view spoiler)[ I love the whole animal spirits bit! I've read books with kitsune featured before and they always have some sort of affinity with nature so I like how this story is keeping along those lines. Interesting fact Kitsune do come from Asian mythology and the Pokemon 9tails is actually based on a Kitsune being the most powerful of nature spirits. I only know that because my sister in law is super obsessed with Anime etc and has a Kitsune tattoo that she tells my kiddos its a 9 tails from Pokemon and so they think she is super cool lol. 70% (view spoiler)[ This book reminds me of soooo many episodes of The last Airbender. The last town they were in reminded me of the episode with the revenge nature spirit that was kidnapping townsfolk. And now they have a run in with a samurai with a oni mask on just like Zuko did. Not sure what anime she used for inspiration but there are sooo many similarities. (hide spoiler)]

Finished OMG loved it! (view spoiler)[ What a great ending! I'm just going to say a little Karma goes a long way in appeasing my nerves during cliffhangers and this is no exception lol. In book 2 I'mma need Yu... yea I can't remember how to spell these characters names.. or say them.. I'mma need the kitsune to be moar bad asser. I loved the mixup of epic fantasy and anime in this book! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ So far, I am super intrigued… I love Yumeko, I thought I was going to have a harder time with the names but eh… I like that I get bits and pieces of other characters, who is this new silver Lord? Siegetsu-Sama and where does he come from and why did he just help Yumeko? And yes, where is the other weasel if they do come in threes? I Tatsumi and I think he does have a heart lol, I think he is not only helping her because of his goal but because he feels he needs to keep her safe. I was saddened about the monks, but I was glad that the light orbs ascended to heaven. (hide spoiler)]

Pg. 191 (view spoiler)[ Ok Okame I’m glad you aren’t dead and that at least you helped Yumeko and Tatsume, it sucked that his companions just wanted to hurt them, so Okame did what he had to do. I did like the saying Yumeko used. Ah I loved the part about the Weasels and the witch as well as the Bear and Kodama? Ugh I know I said I wouldn’t have a hard time remembering the names but yes, I am… I’m having to go back and check for the correct spelling or names… Anyways, I loved the leaf, I am glad that Yumeko was able to talk to the weasels and free their brother and that she saved Tatsumi’s life!!!! End of part 2 Pg 246…. (view spoiler)[ I think I liked this part more than part one!!! I love Yumeko’s courage and I feel so bad for Tatsume for trying to always be strong and not let the demon in the sword take over, I feel like it would be so easy but at the same time so bad. He is starting to have strong feelings for Yumeko and that is clouding his judgement. I like Okame, he is now my favorite! I like his sarcasm. I was so glad that they were able to help the villagers and get rid of the Gaki. There is a lesson for us there lol, be kind to strangers? I can’t wait for the next part! (hide spoiler)]

I am glad he did and freed Suki, but I have to say… it has got to be that beautiful Daisuke? Although that one-eye boy call him Siegetsu, the same guy that helped Yumeko against the wind witch. If it was Daisuke I think Yumeko would’ve recognized him at the bridge as the one that help her before… Whatever. I am going to miss good old Tatsume, he finally let Hakaimono take over ugh, it was bound to happen. I am curious to see what will finally happen. I like the new band, but I miss my Tatsume!
