McKenzie, Catherine--The Good Liar Relaxed Buddy Read starts June 1, 2018

I finished this one. I thought it was pretty good. It was entertaining for sure and I definitely wanted to read on to see who was actually The Good Liar.

I did find the characters (view spoiler)[ all unlikable in their own way. I think that an argument could be made for each of them being the best liar of them all.
Of course, Franny takes it for killing over 500 people and almost? getting away with it.

and Kaitlan/Kate for sure because of betrayal to a close friend.

But I found Cecily disturbing as well. It didn't bother me that she got her money. She deserved it. Whether she was happily married or getting a divorce, she was entitled because she was still married to a victim.
The fact that she kept a lie from Joshua about Kate being alive was a big one I think. It was also fraud on her part because she was part of the initiative that decided to give the family money.
Should Franny ever be caught, she could blow the whole thing up and I think Cicily would be guilty by omission. (hide spoiler)]

I'm 25% in. So far it's okay. The writing style is a bit simple and I don't feel much interest yet, but I think the interviews are my favorites so far. I know there's a connection in there somewhere with all these characters, have a few theories floating around.

I didn't like Kate, but I didn't have an issue with Cecily - I was surprised she kept the secret too though.

I'm finished and rated it 3 stars. A bit inconsistent for me - I liked the ending twists but had issues with the overdose on flashbacks and the confusing back and forth with time shifts every chapter.
